Motor control engineer (f/m/d)

Basic schematic design and the programming of the individual hardware components are steps that belong to a successful hardware development. In case of our motor controls this also includes extensive testing, for which we can use various test benches at the university and Fraunhofer IISB. Sounds like your cup of tea? Join us!

Motor control in the Silver project – what can you expect?

Hardware design and schematic layout
A large focus in the team is on own developments in power electronics, because here the research spirit is awakened and the team and students learn the most. In the case of a flying robot, for example, this also includes the ESCs for controlling the electric motors. Within the team we take care of basic circuit diagram design as well as all further steps that are necessary for a successful hardware development.

Programming
But the pure hardware does not yet make a flying robot fly. Therefore, the programming of the individual hardware components is essential, and, as is currently the case with us, especially the programming of the ESCs. Of course, this also includes extensive testing, for which we can use various test benches at the university and Fraunhofer IISB.

What you should bring along

Previous knowledge in the field of electrical engineering is of course an advantage, whether only when soldering or already through the first in-house developments. But the most important thing is your own motivation to actively help in the team and above all the willingness to learn new things. If you bring that with you, you are definitely in the right place!
